Queens College, Cambridge, timber repairsA two-component low viscosity epoxy resin system. The resin is of light golden colour, which is mixed in the ratio 100 parts by weight (pbw) with 20 pbw . of the hardener, an almost colourless liquid, to provide a cold or warm setting consolidant, principally for timber. BENCON 20 timber consolidant is an extremely useful product for limited consolidation of medium to badly infested, rotten or tack damaged timber furniture or other artefacts and may be used in conjunction with BENCON 22 Epoxy Paste to re-make surfaces and even intricate profiles.

A two component system. The resin component is a light brown epoxy resin paste which is mixed in equal parts with the hardener, which is friable and dark brown, to provide a cold setting wood-like material. BENCON 22 epoxy wood paste is well suited for facing-off beam repairs where the uncured material may be grained to match the existing timber and for filling in conjunction with BENCON grouting or consolidation systems, tack damaged, rotten or woodworm infested furniture and similar items.

A three component, pourable epoxy resin system for use as a structural grout. The resin is of a light colour, which is mixed in the ratio of 100 parts by weight (pbw) with 20 pbw of the hardener - an almost colour-less liquid - to provide a base for the addition of the filler component, which consists of graded siliceous aggregates. The system is either cold or warm setting to give a structurally discrete back-fill, principally for timber repairs. BENCON 23 structural grout is a versatile product for in-situ repairs to rotten, insect or fire damaged timbers to re-fashion joints, breaks or shakes: the system is recommended for use with BEN-CON 24 epoxy glass pultuded rods where their strength, corrosion resistance and compatibility with the epoxy grout makes them superior to mild or stainless steel reinforcement.

Thames Barrier Gates, subcontractor worksA two component solvent-free, thixotropic epoxy resin adhesive capable of application and cure in cold, damp or dry conditions.

BENCON 27 has been formulated as a general purpose adhesive for bonding ceramics, metals, glass, plastics, rubber, stone and timber. The product makes joints of high mechanical strength, which are resistant to most common chemicals.

A two component, room temperature curing low viscosity epoxy resin adhesive.

BENCON 28 has been formulated as a general purpose adhesive for bonding ceramics, metals, glass, plastics, rubber and stone. The product makes joints of high mechanical strength, which are resistant to chemical attack; it has a low enough deflection temperature to give a slightly flexible joint line at 45-60C.

A three-component system consisting of epoxy resin, hardener and an aggregate of graded silica sands and flours: it is specifically formulated for ease of application, chemical resistance, durability and mechanical strength. Properly laid, BENCON 29 will outlast a granolithic screed and is easy to clean. Mainly for large areas of floor subject to heavy industrial wear of any kind and for the repair of conventional toppings.

Timber house restoration in Frating, near BrightonA water dispersible epoxy resin floor and wall coating and sealer. It is a virtually odourless system for use on cementitious surfaces to provide an easily cleaned surface resistant to penetration a wide range of oils and liquids. It is suitable for areas subject to pedestrian and light vehicular traffic and will withstand positive water pressure.

BENCON 39 is a two component, water dispersible formulation that, when mixed, forms a semi-flexible, lustreless seal for concrete and other similar surfaces. Also available as a non-slip ‘grave topped’ surface for pedestrain walkways.

A 'one shot' two part chemical anchoring cartridge system based on a solvent free epoxy resin. Applied in one single action to produce a cost effective, tough, chemical resistant fixing, BENEPOX 40 is ideal for close-to-edge applications (unlike expansion anchors) as no stress is placed on the surrounding substrate. Versatile in use BENEPOX 40 is suitable for fixing wall ties, starter bars, studs, bolts or large screws in a wide range of substrates including brickwork, concrete, masonry and stone. BENEPOX 40 is thixotropic and gives excellent adhesion to both steel and concrete. Due to its low shrinkage BENEPOX 40 will produce a higher performance than other resin fixing systems.
